Deciding on a niche for your blog can be a hard and confusing process. Not to mention the paralysis of analysis that can come from not knowing just what to do! You will need to know if income is a goal, if so then you will want to choose a niche that is profitable.

One way to determine if your topic is too broad or too narrow is to look for social media sites that are using your niche. You want to find forums and groups on sites like Facebook and Twitter that have people interested in this niche. If you only find a few forums or worse yet none, then you are going to want to look for another niche. If your search turns up pages and pages, then your niche is too broad and you will want to narrow it.
Quality and Consistent content?
This is by far one of the important aspects of blogging. A blog requires regular posting. You do have to worry about being an expert in your niche. But you will need to provide quality content and do it on a regular basis. Don’t forget there is always someone who knows less than you about your specific topic. This will improve over time just like a good wine. So to start you will either need to know something about your niche or be able to find information that will ignite a spark of literary genius.
Can you monetize with your blog topic?
Creating income is the main focus of many bloggers, so even a small income can help. What you are going to want to do is study other blogs in your niche that are making money. What you are looking for is the banner ads, or you may see affiliate ads. See what they are doing and duplicate it. No need to reinvent the wheel.
